Distance from Nibong Tebal Bas Ekspress Penang to Penang Airport?

Hai friends,

During my Honeymoon trip arround malaysia,After 2 days stay at Cameron Highlands,i want to go to Langkavi from Cameron Highlands.which is the best way of transport from Cameron Highlands to Langkavi ?

I think to get Unititi Express Bus from Tanah rata,Cameron Highlands to Nibong Tebal Bas Ekspress Penang. This bus starts at 8 am and tells that it will reach Penang approximatly 4 hours journey(is that true?)

As there is no ferry service from Penang to Langkavi after 8:30 am,i wish to go by flight.

How much time will it take to travel from Nibong Tebal Bas Ekspress Penang to Penang Airport ?

Which all are the flights availabe from Penang to Langkavi afternoon ?

Malaysia Airlines have flight at 1:05 pm,can i reach the Airport within that time?

Or you people have any other suggestions?

Thanks for your helps ..

Penang Local Boy answers:

Nibong Tebal is a small town in the mainland(in fact near Northern Perak).

I suppose you mean is Sungai Nibong Bus Termina http://www.malaysiasite.nl/nibongeng.html, that is located in Penang Island.

I use google maps and it says that it takes 12 mins from bus terminal(sungai nibong) to Airport. I suggest that you take a taxi from there to the airport. :)

Connecting Flight at Penang International Airport?

I planned to have an airasia connecting flight.
So, my first flight: Jakarta (CGK) – Penang (PEN) on 0600 a.m. arriving at 0930 a.m.
Then, I want to recheck in at Penang airport for my 2nd flight:
Penang (PEN) – Hong Kong (HKG) on 1455 p.m. arriving at 1830 p.m.
IF the 1st flight delayed, and I will start flying to penang at 12 a.m., then how about my 2nd flight will I miss the flight? If not, what should I do?

Penang Local Boy answers:

It seems as though you have a pretty good connection time. If for some reason your first flight is delayed, then when you arrive at Penang, have AirAsia reschedule you. If you are still on the ground in the airport terminal at Jakarta when the delay happened, then see if AirAsia can get to Hong Kong via another airport.

Penang Local Boy answers:

There are buses from the jetty terminal to airport, rapid penang. It will cost you RM1.50, i guess. But the frequency might be a problem. Still, you can take taxi from the jetty.

Suggestion : use bus from lumut/ipoh to butterworth.
From butterworth, the bus will stop near the ferry jetty. Which you can take to go to the island for rm1.20- to and fro.
When you arrive in island, you can take bus/taxi to the airport.

Travel from KL Airport to Penang & back and from KL to Genting?

I am going to travel with my wife for the first time to Malaysia in May. I am planning to visit Penang, Genting & KL while there. Wish to know what will be the cheapest way to reach Penang (batu Ferringhi) from KL airport, later I will travel back to KL, spend a day there and then 1 night at Genting.

Please suggest average fare of taxi from KL golde triangle area to genting & from genting to KL airport. It will be nice if I could travel by buses if there are comfortably available.

Penang Local Boy answers:

Most of the rates are fixed and almost same as the above answer but some taxi company can give a discounted rate if you are taking a full package. It is advisable to take taxi to Genting but as for Penang bus will cheaper than taxi services
