DO YOU KNOW WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE THERE???
BATU FERRINGHI,GEORGE TOWN? I LIKE BEACH & RELAX & I WANT TO BE CLOSE TO THE BRIDGE TO GO WITH A CAR AROUND MALAYSIA. IF WE LEAVE TO GEORGE TOWN IS THER CLOSE TO THE BEACH??
PLEASE HELP!!!

Penang Local Boy answers:

Hello again……Yes, I told you in your other question that Penang is the place to be. Glad you have decided to visit Penang.
The best place is the whole island itself really.
Since you like the beach, go to Batu Ferringhi….many resort hotels there…Golden Sands, Rasa Sayang, etc.
The drive to the Penang Bridge is not far off.
George Town is not far from Batu Ferringhi.
Lots of food everywhere….try Gurney Drive, Tanjong Tokong, oh my goodness, everywhere!!!
I hope that helps :~) and have a great holiday…..cya……..

Susan asks…

Is Penang & Langkawi worth visiting also in MY for my annual holiday? Have already chosen KL & Malacca.?

I have zeroed in Malaysia as my option for annual holiday. The suggested places to see are KL City & Historic town of Malacca. I wanted to know as to whether Penang & Langkawi should also be added as destinations in the trip. One of the reasons for my choosing to go to Langkawi is that I wish to go to the Langkawi Sky Bridge. Something Different & Adventerous.

When planning for my holiday, I basically seek something different that I wouldn’t get to see anywhere else. Let me state an example. I have already been to Singapore, Bangkok & Pattaya. And I have seen enough of the Zoo’s & Bird Park’s. Hence those I am going to skip here in Malaysia. Whatever is new which I haven’t got see in SG or BKK like in Twin Towers in KL, I will see.

Those who have already been to Malaysia, please advise me from your travel experiences

Penang Local Boy answers:

Since you have chosen KL and Melaka, I am not going to elaborate more about it.

Both Penang and Langkawi are definitely worth to visit.

For Penang, there are quite a number of historical monuments such as Fort Cornwallis, Sri Rambai Cannon, Victoria Memorial Clock Tower and the Khoo Kongsi clan house. Besides these historical monuments, there are also some religious monuments such as the Taoist Goddess of Mercy Temple, the Hindu Maha Mariamman Temple and the Muslim Kapitan Kling Mosque. All worth to visit.

For Langkawi, apart from the unique skybridge, you can visit the Lagenda Park, 7 Wells, mangroves, island hoping, enjoy the fine beaches. Basically, it’s more on the natures.
