Where can I find cheap and good hawker food in Singapore? and what are they?

I have tried at least a dozen hawkers selling ‘cha kuen teow’ and ‘kokkien noodles’. None has came close to those I have eaten in Malaysia…(I not a Malaysian). I think Penang is a food paradise and it beats Singapore for food.

Penang Local Boy answers:

Visit the following hawker centres in Singapore:

1. Char Kway Teow Stall @ Blk 644 Hougang Ave 8 Coffee Shop

2. Maxwell Road Food Centre

3. Chinatown Complex Food Centre

4. Bedok Road Food Centre
